Mistra Urban Futures in Almedalen

The single most important political event in Sweden is most likely the annual Almedalen week in Visby, Gotland. Thousands of visitors - mainly policy-makers, public relations experts, NGO's, CSO's and others working with societal issues are there. Mistra Urban Futures participates in this year's Almedalen event with three seminars focusing on cities agendas for sustainable development, on sustainable development goals and on what is needed to build fair and accessible cities.

Finally, Mistra Urban Futures is involved in a seminar organised within theSwedish International Development Cooperation Agencyprogramme Sverige i Världen (Sweden in the World)on the Urban Sustainable Development Goals that will be part of the United Nations' new set of goals from 2016. This seminar will also cover aspects of the connections between climate change and urban development.
