The Gothenburg platform gathered

At the end of May people working at the Gothenburg platform gathered at the Museum of World Culture for an all-day event. The aim was to get to know one another, present the different projects and the center in general. The day offered a cavalcade of projects, the launch of a manual of joint knowledge production and a workshop about fair, green and dense cities.

The project cavalcade where 18 Gothenburg Projects were presented in 3 minutes respectively was a particularly popular feature. "This shows what an amazing breadth of projects we have in Gothenburg and the great commitment there is to develop sustainable cities," says Ann-Louise Hohlfält, responsible for the Gothenburg platform. Merritt Polk, responsible for the Centre's work with joint knowledge production talked about the Centre's view on joint knowledge production - and how we can do it. She also launched a manual for Joint Knowledge Production for Urban Change that summarizes the experiences of the five Gothenburg pilot projects which ran from 2010 to 2011.

Fredrik Almhöjd, Director Business Development at the Strategy Department at the Volvo Group was invited to talk about the mega trends affecting Volvo's strategy, where urbanization is one trend. Volvo focuses in particular on electro mobility and Frederick stressed that it must be economically viable to buy sustainable alternatives and the importance of offering a complete solution to the customer.
