Abstract

The research on the comparative project ‘Implementing the New Urban Agenda (NUA) and the Sustainable Development Goals: comparative urban perspectives’ in Cape Town is based on an agreement between the City of Cape Town and the African Centre for Cities (ACC) at the University of Cape Town under the Mistra Urban Futures’ Knowledge Transfer Partnership, which has been running since 2016. As part of this, the City’s Policy and Strategy Department hosted Sylvia Croese as an ‘embedded researcher’ between 2017 and 2019.
